10 August 2000 - Gotenburg, Sweden Concert Review 11 August 2000
What a concert

A review by Steffen Risager / steveboy@jovimail.com

WOW. My first concert with Bon Jovi, and what a concert. It trully amazed me. They started with Livin'/U give love a bad name, and the way they'we connected those 2 songs into one. Wow. That was one of the many highlights og the show. Next came Crash and the beaty queen. It was really getten heated up at that time.

The next highlight of the show was definatly It's my life. That was one of the songs that the whole crowd knew so it was really great. It was obvious that there were some that could all their material, and then some only knew the songs from Crush.

The acoustic Runaway was really beatifull. Jon really put all his immisions into singin' that one and he did a hell of a job.

Lay your hands on me and Bad Medicine really rocked the crowd. I don't have for how long they kept playing Lay your hands on me, while Jon was givin' the security headaches... But it was for a long time.

When they first finished the show, and they were getting ready for the the encore, we sang the sounds we had as the shout while we were clapping our hands. Really beatifull. They finshed the first encore (I think) with Wanted which was really beatifull. For the second encore it didn't take quite as long to get back on the stage as the first, and then they kicked a** with Keep the faith. After looking at the other setlists I thought this was the end of the show. But we wouldn't give up, and Jon called together the group and then they played These Days which was really beatifull and to finish the show, Thank U for loving me. The last song with the lighters on all over Scandinavium and it was really amazing.

A great addience, a great band. What more could I wish for my first Bon jovi concert? Nothing. I'm absolutely sure this wasn't my last concert with them.

Keep the faith
