here's my Review of some vacation days in Ft. Lauderdale...check out and enjoy

We hurry up and hurry up and here we go....packing our bags and we're ON THE ROAD ... here we gooooooo......ROCKIN' ALL OVER THE WORLD

2 pm (German Time) Wendnesday 01-Nov-2000:
Bine and I have packed our bags and checked in at Frankfurt/ Main Airport in Germany...the trip starts... we arrived after a nice 9 hours airfare (with lots of videos like Erin Brokovich, Gladiator...) from Germany at 6 pm (American Time) in Philadelphia. Nice city but we only had the chance to see the airport...thanx to the nice guy who shot a picture of us. At 9 pm our last airfare of the day starts... the 2 1/2 houres to Ft. Lauderdale have been like some minutes for me...'cos i was so tired that i'd slept at the whole flight. 00:30 am we arrived at Ft. Lauderdale airport...and now our funny time beginns...first we had to go to the Dollar Car Rental...after one silly houre we had our car and we drove to our hotel... and during driving to our hotel Bine asks me..."Hey CAVI what's this light in the dash-board... brake it shows"...ok thanx Harald for showing us the next day how to take the brake off!!! We checked in and go to sleep after this long day....

9 am Thursday morning...the alarm-clock rings and we wake up...shit already 9 am !!!
We had a date at 9:30 am with Ulrike and Harald for breakfast...ok...we got to hurry....9:45 we stand in front of our Hotel...but where are Ulrike and Harald??? We ask at the check in... no they have not been here to ask for you...ok... we had our rented car so we drove to their hotel... "No sorry Mr. and Mrs. Thomas aren't on their room"...shit again...ok...we drove back to our hotel and ask again at the check in!!! We had luck....the woman told us to look straight over the street... "they are waiting for you"!!!!! We had never met in Germany...so this was the first time we saw each other in reality!!!! Shock..lol....no....just joking....they are nice people. We were foreigners in Ft. Lauderdale and for Ulrike and Harald it's the second time here, so they said we go for breakfast (or i think for brunch...it was now 11 am... ) to CrackerBarrel... after the "brunch" we had a great friendship...so we decided to spend the whole day together (and the next day and the next day...lol...till Monday). At 1 pm we arrived at Ross and the we drove to SAWGREEN MILLS....hee hee.....shopping time !!!! After some houres of checking out those stores and malls we go for dinner to the "Hard Rock Cafe" at 9 pm.

Bine and I arrived very late at our hotel...but it wasn't to late for drawing a banner for the BON JOVI-Show on Sunday...look at it...what do you think? Isn't i nice ? (We did it between 1 am and 3 am lol crazy....hehe)

OK...Friday morning 9 am.. breakfast...yes...where..CrackerBarrel for sure..... soon i'll put on here some PIX from Bine and Ulrike which have been shot during our funny meals at CrackerBarrels.... 1 pm BEACH TIME....it was a funny afternoon on the Breach of Ft. Lauderdale.

In the Evening we had a funny and crazy trip with the "JUNGLE QUEEN" .... i think all people who did the evening Trip once with the J Q knew what i mean.....photo coming later....

After this night we had to check out at hour hotel and check in at the Ft. Lauderdale MARRIOTT North Hotel .................. The BON JOVI FAN CLUB TRIP STARTS..............

11 am Saturday 04. November 2000:
Bine, Ulrike, Harald and I arrived at Marriott Noth Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale...and we saw the first BON JOVI fans sitting in the gotel lobby...the normal check in time was 3 pm but we ask if there is a chance to check in now? And it was!!! So we checked in and the woman at the reception desk said that Bine and I had to share our room with another person? Noise all around? Who will it be? We took our bags... took the elevater to floor 6 and then we stood in front of our room...622...the number...we put the keycard into the door and stood in front off a girl! And what are the first words she sais??? "Who of you is Carina!!!" First i thought how many pleople know that you are in Ft. Lauderdale??? But after some words I found out that she is one of my German penpals......Birgit from Munich (How are you crazy chick?)

After we had checked in we decided to go for breakfast...lol....CrackerBarrels Time...the last one for me and Bine...(Ulrike and Harald...I hope you enjoyed you breakfast on Tuesday without us!!!)

When we arrived back from breakfast (but i think it was lunch for us..lol) there are some tables in the lobby with information about our weekend...we had to show the laddies at the tables (sorry i forgot their names) our membershipcards...now we get our ticket for the BON JOVI show on Sunday evening at National Car Rental Center, The "Breakfast Card" for getting the breakfast for free at the Marrioth Hotel for the Weekend, an informationmagazine about what happens this weekend with all names of the people who attends an this fanclubtrip and our "V.I.P." passes for the whole weekend.

At these tables we had the chance for the whole weekend to buy the BON JOVI - Calendar 2001, a limited Edidition from the China Club Event this year, some BON JOVI caps, the official Fanclubtrip T-Shirt, and some more stuff.

Now it's 6 pm and all BWJBJ Members went to an assigned room at our Hotel... there MRS. B. and her Staff said HELLO to all who attend on this Trip.
The start was made by FB (Father Bob). He presented all staff members to us and some people who help doing this trip in Ft. Lauderdale. After some words he said WELCOME to MRS. B.

She said HELLO to all and was glad that 67 Japanesse Members, 25 Members from England, 17 form Germany (yeah) and one from Italy, and of 'cos some Members from Brazil, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Australia, and Argentinia...spend their time to attend on this Trip.
They youngest one who attended the trip was a 13 years old girl and the oldest one was a 67 year young woman. (not old...just older)

Now MRS. B. said to all of us that we could take our cameras to the dinner but no video cameras? Why??? She gave us the answer!!! BON JOVI will be there and especially playing for US!!! I couldn't believe it...a private BON JOVI show only for us 230 Fans and the Staff....GREAT.... (The only reason why we did not have to take our video cameras was that the staff filmed the whole fanclub weekend and soon there will be the video for all available...i can not wait to get it.... After this opening she said, that we have to go out of the lobby...their are some busses waiting for us to drive to our dinner place. Our dinners place was a nice bayside Restaurant

While all the Trip Members are going to the busses I wait till MRS. B came out of the room to tell her about our OPERATION... the Operation FanClub Trip Europe 2001 ...

I stopped MRS. B. while she came out of the conference-room where the opening happend.

Here's our dialog:
CAVI: Hello Mrs. B., how are you?

Mrs. B.: Fine

CAVI: Could i disturb you one moment?

Mrs. B.: Yes

CAVI: My Name is Carina and I'm from Germany. Two girls and I founded an initiative for an European fanclubtrip in 2001.
Mrs. B. looks interested. I told her in some short sentences about our Operation (while her bodyguard looks -- not angry but unfriendly -- around)

CAVI: Here I got some letters from European BWJBJ Members and from Members from America and all over the world. For European members it would be cheaper to attend on an European trip 'cos there will be no expensiv airfare and some people have fear of doing a long flight to America. Some American members or members from other foreign countries would have the chance to go to Europe -- perhaps for their first time.

Mrs. B.: Hey Carina, that's very interesting, I would like to speak more with you about this. It's a pity, that we now have to leave for our dinner and I wouldn't go to my room till this night, so please contact me again tomorrow... perhaps there will be more time to speak about this.

CAVI: Thanx Mrs. B. I'll come to you tomorrow after breakfast... ( I was suprised how friendly and nice Mrs. B. is. I really like her! I also told her some facts about the wristband handling in Germany!)

Now Ulrike and I hurried up to catch one off the busses to drive to "ShirttailCharlie's". One of the staff members was in our bus and he made some jokes during the way...it was very funny.
Now we are at ShirttailCharlie's... nice Restaurant...some fans went staight to the front of the little stage, which was built for our "Evening with BON JOVI!!!" But it was only 7 pm and the staff said, that we should go and eat something 'cos the band would not arrive till 8 pm or later.
Bine, Harald, Ulrike and I went on the first floor to have some icetea. We ate something and had a nice talk with the service personal. (He came from Germany - Hamburg - eleven years ago) And now... some girls start to cry...hehe... that was a sign for us, that the guys finally arrived on stage.

Fanclub show on Saturday 4th November at ShirttailCharlie's in Ft. Lauderdale...thank you guys for this amazing time... you just rocked...

It was a pity that TICO wasn't there with the guys... nobody who gave us the BEAT this evening (Mrs. B. told us later in the lobby of our hotel that he is in love... so it's ok!)

But is was just amazing, great, unbelievable, grandios, funny, and and and... I could not tell you in words what this evening was like...ok... we hadn't the chance for a meet & greet but we had the guys, only for us 230 members of BWJBJ and they answered all of or questions and they played what we wanted them to play...!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could you believe this? In the first moments I couldn't believe this, either.

After 1 1/2 houres the guys had to hurry up, Jon said, that he had another meeting this night...it's a pity, but we could not change this....thanx for everything...rock on!!!

Till 11 pm all people at ShirttailCharlie's had a big party... some went to eat something and some just danced near the swimming pool... then the busses left for going back to our hotel to refresh for the next night....but it wasn't the end of this night...

In our hotel Mrs. B. sat in the lobby in "Storyteller-Mood". She told us something about her grandchildren - Stephanie Rose and Jesse James (the kiddys of Jon and Dorothea for those who don't know it) - and some information about Jon, the new movie he will do in January... a vampire movie... a girl asked if he will be a vampire slayer like Buffy? And Mrs. B. said that she didn't know but somebody shouted the following words into the lobby... that was just funny... "what do you think about JON BON BUFFY"!!!!!!!!!! lol........

During her storytelling one girl asked if there will be a European fanclubtrip in 2001 and she said "Yes i talked to Father Bob about doing this... perhaps it will be in London... but it's not confirmed yet.... whoo hoo i thought... perhaps our event will happen!!!!!

After 1 1/2 houres I think we all went to our beds and the first day of our trip was over........

9 am Sunday 5th November 2000:
Breakfast time...but no CrackerBarrels.... but that's ok.... Bine, Ulrike, Harald and I met in the lobby and we go to take our breakfast... some BWJBJ members, Mrs. B., Fater Bob, and the staff are still in the breakfast-room... it was full so we had to wait for our places....

After the breakfast there was no programm for us till 3 pm this afternoon, so we went with our car to National Car Rental Center to see how it looked in daylight... 'cos when we would arrive here this evening it would be dark already.... and perhaps we could see the guys at the Center when they do their soundcheck.. but we didn't see them, I think they did no soundcheck. Before we went to NCR Center I went throught the hotel to search for Mrs. B. 'cos i wanted to talk to her again about our Operation European FanClub Trip 2001. I found her in the staff room... it was called Broward Room... one of the staff members opened the door and Mrs. B. sat in front of me at the table .. working for the auction for this evening... so she had not much time... she asked me what we wanted to tell her and I said to her that i wanna give her all the letters from European fans for the trip in 2001 and then she said: "Oh yes.. I remember we talked yesterday about it!" Hey that's good... she remembered me... I gave her all my letters and she promised me to read them during her airfare home to New Jersey. I said that was ok... and if she got some questions to us, she could contact me or Gabi or Fran.... she got our e-mail addresses..... ok... it's done and we startet to National Car Rental Arena.

3 pm and we are back in our hotel, the pre-concert reception in the cypress Room starts.

We could buy some bons with numbers to win some signed items (clothes) from Jon & Co (one Ticket - one Dollar). I didn't win anything..... *snief*.. but some girls and boys (it wasn't a girls-only-trip...lol) won.... Kay got the leather pants of Jon, how lucky, there where shirts, shoes, pants, and much more......all were signed by Jon, Dave, Richie or Tico....... I hope all winners are lucky with what they got!!!
All Money BWJBJ earned with this special aution was for Jon's personal charity!!!!

During the auction we had the opportunity to get some snacks and some icetea before the show.... at 6 pm our busses started to National Car Rental Center, we all checked if our show tix were in their right place (lol...Bine) and if we had our V.i.P-Passes that showed that we are members of the fanclubtrip. When we arrived at the NCR Center our busses parked at the farest place away from the Center.... nobody could believe it...... after some minutes we arrived at the doors of the Center..... like everywhere all woman first went to the rest rooms..... lol.. there I met TESS (Hey honey how are you? Nice to meet you...hope to see you soon at the European Trip???) We once met in bonjovi.com chat room... isn't this great? Now all people got in and searched for their seats...... the seats had been given out when we had registered for the trip so that some friends did not have seats near each other.... but for me it wasn't a problem... I had F 22, yes it was row 6 but place 22 that was the last place in this row.... so when the guys started their show I got the chance to walk to FRONT ROW... amazing isn't it?????????????? I don't wanna talk long about their support band... LESS THAN JAKE....... they were awfull I think....... anybody who agrees with me???????? Just send me an e-mail... I'll make a list.. lol

Ok.... it's 8:30 pm and I heared some notes....yes it's ONE WILD NIGHT...... they guys had a new stage.. not the same I have seen at their European Tour this summer........
They came on stage in an ELEVATOR........ I was in front row and I didn't take my camera to the show...... but Bine and Ulrike took their cams so I'll put their PIX on here in some days.......

2 or 2 !/2 houres later... I think it was just 3 or 4 am, we all went to bed.....

The next morning (Monday) we packed our bags, went for breakfast and exchanged some e-mail addies with other fans and drove to the Airport... for Bine and me it was time to leave.... but Ulrike and Harald started their holidays then... they left Florida at Wednesday.
