22 May 2003 - Madrid, Spain Concert Review 23 May 2003
BON JOVI BACK IN TOWN

A review by JAVY22 / J_M_M_80@HOTMAIL.COM

After 7 long years, the best band returned to Madrid. We all expected a great show but... it turned to be an amazing rock concert by the greatest band. people were willing to sing, shout, jump,... and that's what jon and the rest of the band gave us.

Incredible the energy and power in the beginning of the show with BOUNCE, BAD NAME, WILD IN THE STREETS, LIVIN' ON A PRAYER,... the boys were just as good as anyone could have expected them to be. Jon tried some words in spanish to introduce Richie in I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU ("mi amigo Ricardo Sambora..."). The crowd sung each part of the song and sometimes it was almost impossible to hear Richie.

There were also surprises like Raise Your Hands, but above all THESE DAYS, the only thing i missed was jon din't play the harmonica at the end of it. People were asking for ALWAYS since the first songs of the show but unfortunately they didn't play it... it would have been the perfect way to end the show, buecause it's a song very appreciated in Spain.

But it's impossible to critice any part of the show, the end was simply... awesome. Bad Medicine/Shout! I've seen this songs in other shows but not with the passion and strenght shown this time. nobody wanted to go home, but... after 2.30 hours it was time to give the boys their time to relax.

Just to say it was a wonderful show, they are the best rock band in the world and we all hope, here in Spain, specially in Madrid, to see them back as soon as possible. Thanx for coming boys... and good luck in the rest of the tour...
