THE GREATEST SHOW ON THE EARTH
It's been 7 long years since the last time Bon Jovi played in Spain, but good things come to those who wait, and the day came. Spain expected a great rock & roll show but... it turned to be THE GREATEST SHOW ON THE EARTH!!! No fireworks, no big inflatable dolls... just rock & roll.
The set list was amazing. The show begun full of energy and power with BOUNCE, YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, WILD IN THE STREETS, LIVIN' ON A PRAYER, EVERYDAY, and UNDIVIDED, great way starting it as slow as the end of the song.
After that incredible start, they continued with KEEP THE FAITH an breathtaking version, Jon was great with the part of the song after the solo, WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE, where the whole stadium sang the first verse, THE DISTANCE with Richie rockin’ at the end of the song, IT'S MY LIFE was one of the most aclaimed , MISUNDERSTOOD a magic song with the lights turning around the stage, SOMEDAY I’LL BE SATURDAY NIGHT with the final solo, JUST OLDER, with Jon and Richie shoulder in shoulder. Jon tried some words in spanish to introduce Richie in I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU :"mi amigo Ricardo Sambora...", that was the song to remember, everybody was crazy about it, singing, and the ohohoh was neverending!!! BLAZE OF GLORY, the Jon Bon Jovi moment. The shows continued with RUNAWAY, a wild, wild, wild song. When Jon said 1, 2, 3....evebody started to shout, nananananana it was BORN TO BE MY BABY, when the song finished, Jon kept on encouraging the audience to go on with the nananananana. I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD the boggie song everybody dancing , then came the fast and rockin’ RAISE YOUR HANDS, a tribute to Slippery era (with everybody with their hands up in the air)
After the first and only break sounded the beautiful THESE DAYS. Then CAPTAIN CRASH, TWIST AND SHOUT , everybody in the stadium twisting like in a Beatles concert, and the final song BAD MEDICINE and SHOUT. There was no more bises They finished when they had to. Perfect!
This was the 5th time I’ve seen the boys on the stage and I can assure that it was the best. “THEY’RE BACK, KICKIN’ ASS!!!”
