Where has the energy gone???
It was the same 80s early 90s Bon Jovi sound, the same look (except the haircuts and shaved heads) But it was a lack of energy that caused me to wonder, "Hey when did this go from fun to just becoming a job?" Where are the stage runs the cat-walks the things Bon Jovi did before, Hell the Stones still show all that energy and they are 20 years older.
The songs and music where strong and well done and I enjoyed that, at least it wasn't a greatest hits package like most 80s bands (Def Leppard, Poison, etc.) do; Thank you for that!
Bon Jovi was a band about fun (before the ballad faze) but the show seemed to be more about making a pollitical statement and bring up past events then just enjoying the moment. Jon you are not Springsteen or even Axl Rose, so smile more and don't take yourself so seriously, Seattle is over, we miss Sex Drugs Rock n Roll.
There was energy in the shows length it wasn't the standard 90 minutes. But it was the same speech different town. Even Richie acted more like this was a career and not just fun. Where was the energy for a solo, I mean you have solo albums and you are as important as Jon but you and the rest of the band acted like any back-up band; Jon could of been up there with any other 5 guys and it wouldn't of mattered.
Please show yourself in the future.
It was an enjoyable night and I'm glad I experienced the show, just I didn't want to kiss your ass.
