20 June 2003 - Dublin, Ireland Concert Review 22 June 2003

What a great night, when I say night I mean evening as it stayed bright for the whole show as it was such a great summers day. Because of this I think it lost of bit of atmosphere as Ive always felt nighttime concerts are better - dunno why. Another tiny complaint was the sound, it seemed a bit off for some reason. I didnt think my hero Richie's guitar was loud enough despite being only about 30 feet away from him.

Anyway the show istelf was fantastic. Alot of old SWW classics such as Wild In the Streets and Raise Your Hands were played and well recieved. A song I hadnt heard in ages - Diamond Ring was played which went down well too even if some had a confused look on their face. Stuff such as Its My Life and LOAP really got the crowd going and we didnt really stop bouncing all night from then. Richie sang Ill be There For You which was a great surprise. It was a night of unusual songs what with that, Diamond Ring and also the little intervals of Sympathy for the Devil and Rockin all Over the World mixed in with the songs. Overall the guys seemed really up for it with Jon even thanking the Guiness company at the end! Wonder what he'll be drinking after the show...... Fantastic show, great performances and great crowd.

On a side note nice to show Jon again at the opening of the Special Olympics next door at Croke Park.
