28 June 2003 - London, UK Concert Review 30 June 2003
wham bam better orginisation ma'am

A review by 0 b 1 / s3dgley@yahoo.co.uk

Great gig and I have seen quite a few of them, Wembley with Van Halen, MK with Steve Tyler & Joe Perry, Crush @ Wembley and some older stuff at the Arena. But, what was the orginisation like? Shocking in my opinion!! Incredibly hot day for the UK and the Police are asking us to q here there and everywhere. We could learn something from the Americans. I went to Madison Square Garden in January and they know how to get people in and out of a gig with minimal disruption.

The last rant, Hyde Park not fantastic acoustics in my opinion Milton Keynes is one of the best outdoor venues I have ever been to.

The gig itself? Well there was energy, there was fun and there was some good tunes. I see some comments from others about not playing enough early stuff or too many ballads etc.. They had a great mix on Saturday and the 3hrs just flew. The set list here doesn't mention Sympathy for the Devil mixed in with I can't remember which song ( I think it was Keep the Faith but could be wrong).

Looking at the reviews I think the rest of the UK gigs got short changed ;O)
