28 June 2003 - London, UK Concert Review |

Kick arse concert, shame about the venue!
I went to the MK show in June 2001 and was stunned at the sheer quality and presence of the band, and was not let down at my second gig! The setlist was one of the best, it would have been even better to hear Right Side Of Wrong or maybe even Always but I'm not complaining! Blood On Blood, Someday I'll Be Saturday Night and of course Livin' On A Prayer were all incredible and great to hear, with Richie's I'll Be There For You one of the highlights. The organisation however was shit. We were 6ft from the main sections front barrier, with about 40ft of empty grass in front of it! And the sound was not great, the vocals were tough to hear, even when Jon was just talking it was hard to make him out. And about double-power amps would have been good! After MK my ears were ringing for hours, I was closer to the stage in Hyde Park and had nothing like it!
I cant wait for Bon Jovi to be back in the UK and to see them again, I just hope they bring some better, louder speakers with them and people who can at least organise a piss up in a brewery, cos this years lot couldnt.
Amen Bon Jovi, I'll be in the front pew in Jonny's Church!
