HOLY SWEET JESUS!!!!
words cannot say what this band means to me. i've seen them 5 times in concert and they honestly just keep getting better. i had excellent seats, about 10th row center. i knew what to expect with the acoutic set because i read the website everyday. people around me were a little unsure, but it was positive the minute they all walked out we were in for a real treat. i loved hearing the unplugged version of all these songs, most of them haven't been played in concert for a long time in pittsburgh. the highlight was hearing "never say goodbye" which, next to wanted, is my favorite song. another highlight was hearing "something to believe in." absolutely amazing. when they finally plugged in the guitars...the entire place went electric! it was by far the largest crowd i've seen at the post gazette pavillion. seeing the entire audience raise their hands during the song of the same name is as close to an out of body experience anyone can have. my friend jen and i have gone to every pittsburgh concert together over the past 3 years and we are in our 20's, in great shape and it's sad that a man who's over 40 can wear us out like that. after every concert we feel exhausted and we wouldn't have it any other way. jon and the band sounded so tight...they just get better with age. they didn't sing many from the new album....so many old hits. it's also amazing how giddy he can make women of any age. jon knows how to work the audience...after 20 years he's had the experience. i love this band, not just for their music, but for the fact that they are family men and good hearted people. you never read about them getting bad press or in the tabloids of the checkout line. i don't know how much longer they will tour....but i know i will be there if they come to pittsburgh again and i will always respect them for the great musicians and men that they are. there is nothing like a bon jovi concert!! this i know for sure.
