anyone who saw the RICHIE, I'LL B THERE 4 U sign, saw me holding it up proudly, making jon smile and chuckle a few times. of course, i mean no disrespect to him, i just love richie and his version of "i'll be there for you" last night was absolutely beautiful. i was so excited when they announced that this would be a half-acoustic show, because i have seen them 5 times, and i wanted to hear some different songs and versions. "love for sale" was awesome, and so was "something to believe in", and "everyday" was really amazing acoustic. however, my favorite songs acoustically were "bed of roses" and "i'll b there 4 u"... they were just really beautiful. i can't say enough good things about the acoustic portion.
and just when i thought the show could not get any better, they plugged in the guitars and exploded with "lay your hands on me." jon was going crazy, dancing, and just loving what he does. and i loved every minute of it.
i will continue to drive 5 hours to see them in pittsburgh, my hometown. even though i don't like the sound in the Post-Gazette Pavilion, you can't beat the fans. you will never find a place with more mullets, that's for sure!!
well, even though the security guards took my sign that goes to every show with me, and we sat in terrible traffic on the way back to our hotel, it was truly an amazing night.
those jersey boys really are one of the best live shows anyone could ever see. and if you werent at the show last night, you missed a good one!!
