27 July 2003 - Bristow, VA, USA Concert Review 29 July 2003
Cloud 9

A review by Canamerican / cdmdgb@msn.com

The title of my review sums it up. The show was AWESOME!!! 2 days later, & I still haven't descended from Cloud 9 (hopefully I never will!). I was dismayed to find out that the 1st 1/2 was acoustic, making it difficult to sing along to, but on the bright side, I got to hear songs not usually performed (Bed of Roses & Never Say Goodbye). The "plugged in" portion was great!!! I preferred the show at the MCI Center back in March because there was no acoustic, but the sound was MUCH better here. What was THE BEST was that I thought I had a 6th row seat, but when I got there, THERE WERE NO ROWS 1-5!!! I still can't believe that I had a 1st row seat, and I'm NOT going to pinch myself!!! Knowing that Jon reads signs fans bring to concerts, I brought one of my own. I was ECSTATIC when he smiled after reading mine! And what REALLY blew me away was when he was thanking all his fans at the end, HE POINTED RIGHT TO ME!!!!! I almost fainted right then & there (& not because of the heat)! Yes, there was lots of traffic & it took forever to get into & out of the venue, but what do you expect - it's BON JOVI! I am originally from Canada, and even I knew how long it takes at the Nissan Pavilion, and got there 2 hours early & drove right in. Now I hope to develop the complete 3 rolls of pictures I took ASAP (budget went on ticket & merchandise)-they will be AWESOME!!!! It's a night I will NEVER forget - & can't wait for them to return.
