4 August 2003 - Hartford, CT, USA Concert Review 6 August 2003
Another Great Evening With The Band

A review by Cathy / livergirl98@yahoo.com

What a night!

After arriving in Hartford from New York at approximately 9.15pm due to bad weather and heavy traffic, I thought I had missed the beginning of the show.

Imagine my surprise when the band kicked in at 9.30pm.

The stage setting was as per their European tour, ie: no satellite dishes, and it looked great. Excellent lighting and colour too.

The band were great, very enthusiastic. Jon looked tired but sounded good despite some problems with his ear pieces. Richie was in excellent form, both musically and vocally. "I'll Be There For You" sounded incredible. He was having alot of fun and his new guitar, the one he lovingly calls his "Honey Blonde" has an amazing sound. David was one happy and relaxed Keyboard Man, and his vocals were great. Tico was very kick back and thoroughly enjoying himself. Hugh was also enjoying the festivities.

Their bluesey version of "Bad Medicine" before the full on real deal version was brilliant. The highlight of the night for me personally was "Living In Sin". I have not heard that song live in a very long time. And I love that song very much!

Humidity, Rock and Roll New Jersey style and plenty of bootie shaking. It was a great night.

Bring on Giants Stadium, let "The Dance" begin!
