The First Rock Concert
This was a 15th birthday present from my brother, and possibly the best ever. When I first walked in you could feel the anticipation of the fans waiting for Jon and the guys to come on stage. When they went on stage it was complete madness. Everyone was screaming, and cheering just to see their favorite band. When the concert started it all went silent until "One Wild Night." Then everyone was up dancing in their seats and singing along to the music. The two songs that completely blew me out where "Bed of Roses" and "Wanted Dead or Alive." They covered all the classics, did some new, and did a couple covers. The confetti cannons just added to the excitement. My brother was in awe over Dave's keyboard playing, and I was in awe over Richie's guitar playing.Tico was an unbelievable drummer, and had the place stirred up the whole time. It seemed like a complete dream to see those guys up on stage, doing there thing. You never seem to expect to see them in real life, and in concert it all flys by so fast. The concert was two and a half hours long! If it could have only been longer. That was my first real rock concert experience with a "man band" and not watching the boy bands do all their choreography. The end was the most touching when all the guys hugged and were congratulating each other for a job well done.
If only you could go back in time. I would pay to go back, and experience the concert again! Then again what do you expect for a band that's been around for 15 years! Kind of strange the year before I was born they released their CD.
