26 June 2003 - Manchester, UK Concert Review 25 May 2004
was I bounced? not really

A review by dougie / matthewdarlow@hotmail.com

I'd got to Old trafford from Birmingham with a friend and struggled to get to the ground which was quite close to the cricket ground. When we got there I needed to use the little boyz room and used it despite it being half full of women as well as the pub was heaving. after a bottle of beer we went into the ground and waited for the support act Live who was a heavy rock band who I weren't keen on and remarked about a client at the home i live in as they are quite loud.

When they got on the crowd went mad and they tore into bounce the title of the album and they did the biz to a degree.

But this concert wasn't the best one i'd been to regarding jon and the boyz fron Jersey. They played the classics like wanted dead or alive which the crowd did an excellent opening verse and living on a prayer which got better as the song got on. I was expecting to hear things like Always or these days or bed of roses or any other stuff from their older albums. When Jon remarked about posh n Bex it put a smile on my face.

During the concert I noticed and remarked to Frances my friend "is that what I think it is?" as it was a womans breast that was flashed on the screens above the groups heads. But I would of liked to see some of the these days material as that's my fave BJ album and I hope they come to Britain again sometime in the near future maybe for a farewell performance to sho their dedication to the rock music and music in general. We shall have to wait and see what they do.
