I was 2 feet from Jon!!!
Are you ready for this. I was lucky enough to sit right next to the little makeshift stage that Jon stood on while playing Blaze Of Glory. It was of course the highlight of the night for me. Not only was it amazing that I was so close, but it was a phenominal performance. It was easy for me to see that he put his whole heart into the song. His guitar playing has gotten so much better over the years and so has his voice. He never hit one false note. The only time he screwed up the entire night, in fact, was when he forgot the first couple words of the second verse of Who Says You Can't Go Home. But that's what being live is all about, and at least he doesn't have a teleprompter like most artists.
The whole concert was great. They did a lot of the songs from the new album, they were: Story Of My Life, Complicated, I Want To Be Loved, Have a Nice Day, Who Says You Can't Go Home, and Last Man Standing to open the show. Not only did they do The Radio Saved My Life Tonight from the box set but also surprised me by playing I Like It as the first song of the first encore. I had fun, the crowd had fun, and the boys had fun, and that's what really matters. This is my 4th Bon Jovi show and they only keep getting better.
