12 November 2005 - Omaha, NE, USA Concert Review 16 November 2005
1st concert for daughter whos 9

A review by Mary / mary_lerette@yahoo.com

Well, I must say; "What a spectacular show"! My husband and I were discussing going to see another concert in Omaha and during our discussion our 9 year old daughter asked if she could go, lol. Not this one we had to boldly state. We said we would see when a concert comes around that she likes and would take her to thats a little less, well, XXX rated. She loves the 80's rock bands from Cinderella, Led Zepplin, Motley Crue and her favorite used to be AC/DC util she was given a suprise. We told her we were going to dinner Saturday night and we did, but then we took her down the street and her eyes lit up. She's never seen the Qwest Center and all the people. She was asking in a fearful but wonderous tone, "What are all these people doing"? We said, "you'll see"! We entered the Qwest Center and sure enough, she realized where we were going. I even made a sign that I stuffed under my jacket so she couldn't see until we arrived that said; "My 1st Concert" and on the flip side "Have A Nice Day!" We had tickets for the 6th row, Main floor, directly in front of the stage. She stood on a chair with her eyes so wide and screaming at the top of her lungs holding her sign until she could do no more which was when he played "Always". Not bad for her first concert and all her screaming and arms up in the air for 2 hours. The next day her throat and arms were sore, a real concert trooper we have no our hands, Yeah! The last song, Hands on Me, she stood back up with her sign and screamed some more, lol. Thank you Bon Jovi for makeing Rock Concerts acceptable for families to go together and keep Rock alive for our next and future generations without putting all the drug, sex and violence in the show. We definately got our money worth. No B.S. during plays, it was straight music, song after song until they couldn't do anymore. The fans were screaming and chanting so loud that the crowd alone was hurting my ears more than the band. Great Job and we welcome you to Omaha, NE anytime.
P.S. If anyone has good pictures of any of the concert would you be willing to share? My daughter and I bought a stupid camera that didn't work and came out all blurry. She has kept her sign, shirt and tickets to make a scrap book page of her first concert. She was actually visible on the screen behind the band so many times but my camera sucked. I know she would appreciate it. She wants to share her experience with her classmates but is afraid they won't believe her without a picture.
Love and Peace to all who went, we rocked the house, Jovi will be back.
