Great Show After a Nine Year Concert Drought
I had not gone to a concert in nine years, and had never been to the Qwest Center. I would be what on might call a casual Bon Jovi fan. Had a copy of Slippery When Wet in high school that I wore out.
Beforehand I was wondering if the ticket price was going to be worth it. Boy was it, my wife and I were sitting in the second to last row, but it felt like Jon and the boys were playing just to us. They know how to put on a great show, and a fantastic mix of old and new.
Richie Sambora is one of the greatest guitar players of his generation. And they can still write songs that ROCK. It is so nice in 2005, when everything is so geared toward 14 year olds and their musical taste, to have a band like this still out there bringing it.
