Mohegan Sun Concert
To the previous post...no, they didn't play Bed of Roses...
The show was PHENOMENAL!!! I can't imagine that the guys held ANYTHING back! My only issue with the venue is that I was in the upper level and the screen was obscured by the speakers. But, I was DIRECTLY above Jon when he played on the platform...the absolute closest I've been yet!!! I really can't say enough about the energy level of the show! My favorite part was after the encore (1st) when the band did their usual stage front, all present, bow...after walking away, the crowd was ROARING...Jon turned, and gave us all that "look". Richie tried to turn Jon, as if to say "c'mon man, we're done" and Jon said, "No, we forgot one"...If that was all staged, then I say BRAVO!!! Because I for one thought they were done! Then, when they played Wanted, and basically "accompanied the audience" on the whole beginning...PRICELESS.
Lastly, with the signature humility and grace that is this band, Jon looked several fans in the eye, pointed at them and said "Thank you, and thank you, and thank you..."
CLASS ACT all the way!!!
I won't be at the Feb. 1st show unless I win tix...I cannot afford to go again so soon (single mom, holidays, and all). But I will be at the nearest show come Summer '06. These guys never fail to deliver!!!!
