Best Show of Tour
I've been to 8 Bon Jovi shows, including 3 at Giants Stadium from previous tours and 3 from this tour. I have to say, this beats them all (with last night of Bounce tour at Giants Stadium a close second). This show was definitely better than the Philly and DC shows from this tour.
The band's energy was incredible all night. Jon was on fire - he was putting it all on the line in a way he hasn't in a while. The set list was phenomenal. As an avid fan, I'm used to the Livin', Shot Through the Heart, HAND, Dead or Alive, etc. But they mixed in some great stuff - In These Arms (one of my all time favorites), Bounce (one of my favorite songs off that album), and I'd Die for You! I couldn't believe it when they played I'd Die for You. I was probably the only one who cared, but I was in ecstasy.
Altogether, it was a 3 hour show with encores (if you count Jon and Richie alone on Never Say Goodbye). The crowd stood the entire time. I was physically and mentally exhausted by the end. Jon make that connection in his unique, genuine way - thanking us all for our support. He really connected with me during this show in a way he hasn't in a while. Thanks Bon Jovi - you're still my #1!! |
