20 May 2006 - Dublin, Ireland Concert Review 21 May 2006
Nailed it again!

A review by SPChip

This was my second Bon Jovi show, once again in the golden circle, 8 rows back. It was so good, I don't think there's a word in the English Language for it.

As others have said, Last Man Standing was a lightening start to the concert, and sent all 80,000 people wild.
Straight into Bad Name, which was equally as electric.
I'd never seen like anything like the multiple Mexican Waves that accompanied Who Says You Can't Go Home.
Richies Rendition of I'll Be There For You showed just how able he is to carry his own weight as a frontman.

Radio Saved My Life Tonight and Garageland were unexpected additions, appropriate for a concert that proved to be full of surprises, not least when Bobby Bandiera took the guitar solos on Have a Nice Day and In These Arms. Another Surprise was that Richie only used a handful of guitars in comparison to the sorts of numbers he normally uses, and he also didn't change his clothes, even though the other band members did.
Another surprise was the presence of Denise Richards, Richie's supposed new significant other, in the 'Lumpy position' at the back of the stage.

Having checked out the few previous setlists online, I'd seen that the band had recently played Dry County, so at the beginning of the concert, I was beyond excited when I was a roadie bringing out a large laminated sheet, which I'd assumed were the lyrics to Dry County. Then the wind was taken out of my sail a few minutes later when he promptly removed it again. When I saw the same guy bring it out again after the band supposedly 'left'before the encore, I grabbed my friend and shouted 'Dry County!' in his ear. What a song! Richie blessed us with a solo that was 50% longer than usual, and a heck of a lot crazier.

The finisher, Blood on Blood was a screamer, even though the crowd was screaming 'These Days!'

This is Bon Jovi at their finest. Contrary to what lot of people are saying, the addition of Bob and Jeff to the lineup does add a lot to the dynamic. Although I know that the band can play all the songs without any help, the additional guitar kept the bulidup riff between the first and second solos in Dry County tense, and gave some of the classic songs a great punch.

Th band was great, the crowd was great, the sound was great, and Nickelback kicked ass, too.

I don't even think I could imagine a better concert.
