7 June 2006 - Coventry, UK Concert Review 10 June 2006
Fantastic!!! :D

Nickelback supported, and put on a great show... when they finished, I was thinking "That was amazing!"... then Bon Jovi came on....and (as much as I adore Nickelback) blew them away! If you listen to the lyrics, the song Last Man Standing was a perfect opener for the show. The cover of Rocking All Over The World was great because Jon got everyone singing along and in the mood to Rock! Jon was suffering from hayfever that day and he said that he kept
getting attacks of the sneezes.
Richie Sambora sang and played I'll Be There For You and that was brilliant.
The performance was all amazing, but the highlight was when they played Living On a Prayer... I swear there cant have been one person sitting down in the arena... Jon started it off unacompanied singing "oh we're half way there" then got the audience to sing the rest. Then they started the song and every single person must have been singing along. I can only imagine what it must feel like to stand in front of a 40,000 audience hearing them shouting your songs back at you, songs that you wrote and played. Im so envious lol. Before the first encore, after Bon Jovi left the stage for a bit, there was a light show, lights that looked like new york city flashed up then faded down into flames. Then on the screen, a church bell appeared and Bon Jovi came on and started singing Bells of Freedom. This song brought tears to my eyes as images of Martin Luther King (and another guy who im not sure who he is lol) faded on to the screen as he was singing it. It was such an amazing atmosphere. On the second encore as they were singing These Days, I could have sworn Jon started crying... either that or the hayfever...lol because before he started the song, he said "This is to thankyou all for being my friend for the last 22 years and supporting us" (or words to that effect).

This was without a doubt the best concert I have ever been to. Well done guys!
