you've got to be kidding
What can I say? I have been a Bon Jovi fan since 1986 and have seen them on every tour. Well, we waited 3 years for this one and what a let down. After standing for hours in the rain the show started and right from the off the usual atmosphere was totally missing. Jon looked knackered, Richie looked downright ill. Golden circle tickets and he didn't even have the decency to come down our end of the stage! He looked like he just couldn't be bothered - two hours later and they were out of there. I am a major Bon Jovi fan, but cannot think of anything positive to say. I feel totally cheated - would rather have thrown my 60 quid out the window and stayed at home (where it was warm and dry). No banter, no special effects, no goodbye, just plugging a download of the single. Seemed to be about money and NOT the fans. We stood after the first encore waiting for more and got nothing. As we walked away, everyone said the same thing - no high spirits this time. I am absolutely gutted and think all who made the effort and paid good money for this one should get a refund or a ticket to the next one. I dearly wish I had not gone, and then I wouldn't be left with the feeling that the band has sold out. As for it being the last night and Jon being tired - I wish I had the perogative of working for just a few hours a night a few nights a week for copious amounts of money. I am certain Jon didn't have to drive himself home and then get up for work early the next morning feeling totally dissapointed. Don't know what was going on with the band in Hull, but I can honestly say I have never witnessed anything like it and hope I never do again. I feel totally gutted and let down.
