29 July 2006 - E. Rutherford, NJ, USA Concert Review 31 July 2006
unbelievable

A review by Weston / atwoodvt2@netzero.com

I said in the December 10 review in was looking forward to more bon jovi in boston... However we were on vacation the week gillette tickets went on sale and we missed getting some. It was then my mom told me she said no to tickets offered to Giants Stadium. I told her i'd pay for my own ticket just get me to a bon jovi show so we got on ticketmaster and got tickets in section 220 row 8 They were great seats we were dead center on jon. We got there and filed through the lines. When we got to our seats the winner of the opening act contest had just started. They were O.K except you had no clue what they were saying. Nickleback came on at about 9pm and played a great show. And the I knew it was time it would soon be bon jovis turn. The level above us started the wave and before i knew it we were doing it too and then just after the last wave the lights went out and cheerleaders came out onto the stage and the they went into Elton Johns cover of saturday night all right for fightingand in the end saying" It's a Saturday night... Strap yourselves in cause it's goona be sunday before i'm done" and went into you give love a bad name. The real highlight was who say's you can't go home when jon named numerous cities and states and was met with thunderous applause when he said " your lucky if you live in the great state of New Jersey. Another was when Richie sang I'll Be There For You with the best guitar solo ever. My favorite was Wanted Dead Or Alive when the audience sang the first verses and chorus then folowed by richie singing the next verses. It was also cool how he added dancing in the streets and shout into the middle of some songs and treated us all with I Am a song they never performed live until that night. Hegot everyone on there feet during Raise Your Hands. The only bad thing about thte concert were the people around my mom and i they wouldn't even stand up they sat for almost the entire thing. which stinks cause it takes some of the fun out of it and so far we're 3 for 3 all 3 of the concerts we went to have fans that don't even interact. But by far we had fun and i must say you are not truely a Bon Jovi fan til you've seen them in there home state New Jersey at Giants Stadium this was there 8 sellout for giants stadium and i can't wait for the next album and tour. But now i'm bummed cuase i have nothing to look forward to for another year thanks for the fun tour guys your biggest fan in Vermont,
Weston Atwood
