24 March 2001 - Melbourne, Australia Concert Review 26 March 2001
one wild night

A review by claudia / Claudia.Mcgrath@jcu.edu.au

I just can't believe how quick the concert went. After standing in a cue since 9 am inthe morning and BONJOVI didn't come on until 9:10 pm it was one long day.

A lot of the fans with me had come from long distances. Had 4 bands on prior to Jimmy Barnes (who only sang for 30 minutes)and then a long wait for 50 minutes for restless fans till BJ came on to open with One Wild Night. Jon had on those fantastic gold leather pants with a gold t-shirt and a blue jean jacket. But like everyone else's reviews thus far I was so disappointed at how short the concert was. I thought since it was the only one they would play longer. And no ballads. I wonder if BONJOVI know how long fans stand in cues. There were so many songs I wanted to see live. No unplugged versions. Two lucky girls got kissed on the mouth by Jon on stage during Born to be my Baby (which isn't performed very often in concert). Great concert, the crowd was very interactive but we needed more!!! The concert was taped and will air over Easter weekend on channel 7.
