31 March 2001 - Osaka, Japan Concert Review 3 April 2001
Osaka Japan! I'm a man on a mission, baby!

A review by Bona

"Osaka, Japan! I'm a man on a mission, baby!"

Osaka dome, one of the biggest baseball stadiums in Japan and crowded beyond capacity of 50,000, went crazy when Jon talked to us after "One Wild Night" which is always the first song during this Japan tour. Then they played "Captain Crash & Beauty Queen From Mars", "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Hey God", "Livin' On A Prayer", "Born To Be My Baby".

Then the house was surrounded by silence, because Jon started to say something. Jon told us that they thank for the Japanese fans for letting them keep coming back to Japan since 1984, and play in one of the biggest baseball stadiums. Then they started to play...oh, I couldn't believe this but ..."wild Is The Wind" that is one of the popular songs among Japanese fans.

After they played couple of other songs, the happening occured. When they were playing "Just Older", Jon came toward Richie, touched his guitar intentionally for fun and changed the key. Richie run away toward backstage in a fluster to change the guitar, and Jon, who watched Richie's confusion, burst out laughing and couldn't keep singing. Then Richie came back to the stage and slapped Jon. It was so funny! They keep smiling all the time that night in a very good mood.

At the very last song, they played "Tequila" and "Twist & Shout". Every one of us went crazy with that song and it was really fun! They gave us a perfect show that night too.
