Christ almighty what a day I've had. The sun was shining, my Big Mac was properly cooked and most importantly Bon Jovi were playing at Gateshead Stadium. I awoke that morning full of excitement and I was not to be let down by those reliable old guys from New Jersey. After hours of waiting the moment of truth arrived and to be totally honest and unbiased: they were totally amazing, by far the greatest band in the world. All five were on top form and Jon was clearly enjoying himself as they mixed old favourites with new material much to the delight of the crowd. Other than the old hits I was particularly pleased to hear the sound of the Next 100 Years pumping around Gateshead, no doubt waking anyone in the surrounding area who had fell asleep not knowing that five true legends were just moments away from their home. The only disappointment was the lack of material from These Days but I didn't let this spoil the day. Anyway a truely magnificent performance which has me eagerly anticipating the next. But for know I'm off to bed. Goodnight.
