25 June 2008 - Bristol, United Kingdom Concert Review |

Excellent, but...
...they never really got out of second gear.
I read a few reviews before the gig (hopefully trying to get an insight into their possible set!) and a couple of reviews indicated that they hold back prior to a big gig (Twickers) or immediately following.
Whilst the gig was blinding, I got the feeling (as a 23- Bon Jovi gig veteran) that they were playing well within themselves.
Set details (from what I remember and definitely not in order):
Lost Highway
Born to be my baby
Bad name
Summertime
We got it going on
Lie to me
Capt Crash
Knockin' on heavens door/Blaze of glory
In these arms
Bad medicine/Shout
I'll be there for you (Richie)
Sleep when I'm dead
Keep the faith
Whole lotta leaving
Runaway
Raise your hands
Its my life
Have a nice day
Who says you can't go home?
Encore (only one - :( )
Wanted
Prayer
What was missing?
* Additional encore
* Material from Lost Highway
* Dialogue with the crowd
* The element of surprise
* Dry County
* A decent route to the stadium from those AA idiots, who directed car travellers round the houses to get to the car park! 2 hours to travel 7 miles!
That said, it was still a great gig!
