15 August 2000 - Zeltweg, Austria Concert Review 17 August 2000
One Wild Night

A review by Tatjana / tatjana@email.si

Zeltweg 2000

The guys finally came back to Europe and Austria.
Being at front gates at some 9am, knowing that at 3pm they'll opend the gates and it's going to be only 6 more hours till the show begins, everyone was thrilled.
At first time flew fast, but when we got in, it seemed like seconds were minutes and minutes hours.

Finally! They started the show 30 minutes before schedule, which made us even more excited. They opened with classis Living on a Prayer and continued with You Give Love a Bad Name. After opening song, we were on a highway of adrenaline. Jon was looking beautiful as ever, Richie dressed in plastic like trousers and a tux, David Bryan in a blue-net shir, Hugh dressed in black and Tico was just amazing.

Third song was from "Crush", promoting the new album and crowd went wild.

Runaway in accoustic - can you imagine? It's even better than the original version. David was in a green spotlight (looking lika a saint) and Jon by mic looking stunning.
At each song crowd went crazy, everyone singing in one voice.

I got an information that there were 34000 tickets sold, 4000 more left and some more could be issued. So many people united in music and spirit of the band. There's just no words to express that.

Since we got in really early, we got backstage passes and good place to see Jon and the guys in flesh and blood up-close.

Jon gave a little speach about fans' loyaltiy to the band and naming countries fans came from; the best thrill and a surprise was one word: "...coming from...SLOVENIA..". All we needed to hear - name of our country.

We also got a little story on Jon's week in Hollywood, where he was staying at waiting to be discovered. And how the guys flew all accross USA to get him. Story was accompanied with "Rockin' All Over the World" wich was a medly with "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead".

Not only did the crowd sing - screaming, shouting, jumping, singing, clapping, raising hands, crying, yelling - you name it we did it.

Crowd was on a train to Partyland with the band on stage and one thought on ming: "It's even better than I thought."
Fun and great time for 2 hours and 40 minutes, band closed the show with the beautiful fireworks.

When they left the stage earlier (twice), Jon, Tico, David and Richie chaning T-shirts, crowd just went crazy. That showed them that they just have to get back on stage, and that the crowd was ready to take more than they could offer.

When they closed the chow, everyone was high on adrenaline, having the best time in the world, and it was "One Wild Night".

Jon said in one of his speeches during the show that they're going to be back and this time it shouldn'take them 5 years.

They are touring Europe now and later USA, if you have a chance of catching them at any venue, don't think twice and hesitate. You will have the best time ever and no matter how much you have to pay - it is worth of every dime you pay.

Everyone who was the will definitly be back, because they really do know how to make a great show.

One Wild night for the fans who did "Keep the Faith" for the "Next 100 Years", were put in a "Bed of Roses" by the guys who were "WIld in the Streets".

The closest word you can describe the concert by is - AMAZING.
