13 May 2001 - Washington, D.C., USA Concert Review 15 May 2001
The Avengers Return

A review by Katie / spdlimt55@AOL.com

Talk about an exciting show. It was unexpected as to what would happen from one minute to the next. This was only my secon concert of Bon Jovi's but was much better this time around. We spent two and a half hours in "Jonny's chruch of Rocn 'n'Roll!" One of the best parts of the show was when Jon when into "Sympathy for the Devil" during the bridge in "Faith." The absolute best part was when Jon let everyone sing the first verse of "Wanted," followed by Richie singing the second verse, and Mitch from SR-71 singing the last verse. It was really nice to see that the local boys have finally made it into the big scene. It was also nice to hear some of the stuff that is just on the albums. Of course, all the lighters went up on "Can't help falling in Love" and on "I'll be there for you." Jon and Richie sounded so good, and the energy level of all five was just untouchable. Everyone that left the arena had smiles on their faces. From coming into school the next day with five hours of sleep and a test, it was all worth the while!
