31 May 2001 - Stockholm, Sweden Concert Review 3 June 2001
A night I'll always remember

A review by g / bitterwine95@hotmail.com

Bon Jovi really know how to rock!

Me and my friend had flown over from Finland the same day and were really looking forward to see the concert. When we heard that Mel C was going to be the opening act we got even more excited, but she was actually kind of lame. She played so many songs and I just wanted to hear Bon Jovi. But when they finally came out on stage the whole audience went totally crazy. The whole Empire State Building-thing was great and One Wild Night was the perfect song to open the concert with.

I was really happy that they played songs like Born To Be My Baby, Wild Is The Wind and In these Arms because they are great songs and last time I saw BJ (only been to one concert before this one) they didn't play them. I also would have wanted to hear I'll Be There For You because that song is my all time favorite, but I guess you can't have it all. One thing I'll always remeber about this particular concert,31 May 2001, is when they played I Got The Girl. I was pretty sure Jon was going to sing this one since it was Stephanie Rose's birthday, and when the song
ended and everyone was clapping and screaming he said " Happy birthday baby". I'm not sure everyone heard that but I did and I got really warm inside. I will never forget that.

I really enjoyed every minute of it and I don't think I was the only one. It was simply a great experience. I also want to say that I totally agree with Captain Crash. I read the article in Svenska Dagbladet and I can tell you that that reporter has got some serious issues. He's a real asshole. You really shouldn't believe everything you read and instead listen to what the fans have to say. We had a great time and whenever I get the chance to see them again I will. Bon Jovi is the baddest band on God's earth!
