The night to remember forever
After queueing for what seemed an age, with thousands of other fans, we finally got inside Wembley. The Dum-Dum's were on first, great new band, the lead singer couldn't get over the fact he was playing to such a crowd at Wembley. He had done a Bon Jovi GCSE project and now was supporting them at Wembley! They would quite good, then came Toploader, now I wouldn't go outside the door to hear them again, they were crap!
Then, the video screens lit up, a camera outside the dressing rooms showed the guys come out, it followed them up to the stage, and when they appeared on stage, Wembley errupted! It brought back memories of Cardiff Arms park, Wales, 5 years beforehand. The guys launched staright into London's Calling, not their song, but who cares? Then straight into the best song ever sung, Livin' on a Prayer! The guys then just belted out a great mix of the old and new, Bed of Roses, Lay your hands on me, Faith, and many more (see below) and of course Dead or Alive. Jon did a bit of a speech (as usual!) about how great it was for them to be there, and how Wembley will be missed etc. it was really good, although i was being crushed, and sweating from head to toe and dehydrating, it was all well worth it, I'd do it again any time. This must be the best band to go and see live, they always perform to the max. I will never forget this night. To finish off a great night there was a load of huge fireworks, a fitting tribute to Wembley!
