WEMBLEY WAS ROCKING!
The atmosphere on Sat night was fantastic - 5 years away from these shores is far too long!
Bon Jovi captivated the packed stadium for over 2.5 hours and opening with London Calling was a pleasant surprise - I was expecting Livin on a Prayer!
I have followed the band since Slippery days and have seen them live several times but Sat night was very special- I have never felt so emotional moved by a concert inc previous Bon Jovi gigs!
Jon's vocals were superb, Ritchie's guitar playing electric and the crowd just went wild. Hit after hit and each one delivered with such energy and emotion!
How can Jon sing to 70,000+ people and yet you feel you are the only one he's singing to....
Not many ballads but that made for an interesting, powerful rocking set - just loved the slow version of Runaway and Blood on Blood, as for Born to be my Baby - superb!!!!
Would love to see a setlist for Sunday night...can anyone oblige?
For me the atmosphere was summed up when I spotted a mature,(50 ish)well dressed couple patiently standing in the masses
waiting for the concert to begin - I wondered if they should have taken seats because it can get a bit hairy!
Later, when Jon was pelting out I'll sleep when I'm dead - I spotted the lady hoisted up on her husband's shoulders and someone's elses(!) punching the air enthusiastically and singing along with every word.
Absolutely brilliant!!! The power of Bon Jovi and their music!
Crush is a fantastic album - long awaited, as was the tour -please don't let it be the last - life is too short!!
