10 June 2001 - Dublin, Ireland Concert Review |
|
The concert was brilliant...gates opened at 5pm, the support groups started around 5.30pm. The set was fashioned as the Empire State building and at 8.30pm, the 3 screens flickered to life, showing the band entering an 'elevator' and when it arrived at its 'destination', the band appeared on stage. They kicked off to 'ONE WILD NIGHT' and they did all the classics...and then some. Concert favourites like 'Twist and Shout', 'Shout' and 'Tequila' (with audience participation) went down a treat! Two encores and lots of fireworks later, the crowd went home happy, having spent 2 hours and 45 mins in the company of Bon Jovi. Special treat during one encore...they did a rendition of U2's song 'One' and it was fantastic!!!
