Not bad for five old guys from New Jersey!
Jon and the boys blew Gateshead away with a stunning set in fine summer weather. Jon, in tight fitting leather trousers, let rip from the start with 'Prayer and You Give Love followed by Captain Crash and Say It Isn't So which was interactive with clips from the video. More of the hits followed including a beautiful Bed of Roses and a rocking Wild In The Streets and of course Sleep When I'm Dead. Inflatable arms appeared at each side of the stage for Lay Your Hands On Me before they disappeared for the 1st encore which again featured Jon singing a slow moving version of Runaway backed only by David on keyboards before a blistering 'Dead of Alive. The second encore started with Next 100 Years and then a rocking version of Keep The Faith. Jon promised not to leave it another 5 years before coming back but hey - he said that last time!!
