Bon Jovi Kicks Ass
Well what can I say that was the first Bon Jovi concert I have been to, and according to what Jon said to us it won't be the last as he promised that it definately will be less than 5 years before he comes back.
The Dum Dums weren't to bad, thew crowd were into them for a bit, although I couldn't make out the lyrics.
Toploader were next and the crowd were really into them especially with Dancing In The Moonlight.
Then at 7:45 Bon Jovi came on stage to one hell of an ovation, and broke into Livin On A Prayer straight away, followed by bad name. I can't remember the whole set list, but they was quite a few crush songs, on it:- Captain Crash and the Beauty Queen From Mars, One Wild Night, Say It Isn't So, It's My Life, Just Older, Mystery Train, and Next 100 years (which the crowd really enjoyed, especially richies two solos), There was the usual bad medicine/shout medley, and they also performed status quos rocking all over the world which the crowd reall liked. Other songs from which I can remember are someday i'll be saturday night, bed of roses, born to be my baby, blood on blood, lay your hands on me, i'll sleep when i'm dead, runaway(accoustic), wild in the streets, wanted dead or alive and keep the faith. However there was no Always, and nothing from These Days At All.
Overall it was a great show, especially for my first time, but one complaint was they had a long pause before one of the encores, during which some fans thought it was finished and left.
The show finished at 10:00 which makes it a 2hr15min show and we were treated to a huge firework display at the end.
See you again soon guys and not in 5 years like you promised. |
