This was the sixth time I had seen Bon Jovi and I was really looking forward to it. I've been a fan since SWW but only a member of Backstage since 1993, which was the first time I saw them (twice in the same year!!).

For the first time ever, after getting there by car really easily and arriving at 2pm, my Husband and I managed to queue for about 30mins and get wristsbands!!

We wandered down to the pit at about 3.30 just to see what it was going to be like, but then went and sat on the grass slope until the second support group had finished. We then wandered down to the pit and were let in!! I couldn't believe we were actually in there, seven rows from the front!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the cool entrance, but Jon's taste in clothes is getting a bit weird; those sunglasses and that hat!?!?

I thought they were brilliant and loved when the woman in red launched herself at Jon during Bed of Roses. He seemed to take it all very well though.

Now comes the bad bit; I won't go into detail, but during I Got the Girl, I got terrible stomach cramps and had to leave the pit. Got back in again about four songs later but had to leave again. I couldn't believe after getting into the pit area for the first time ever that I took ill!!

I was so pig sick!! My Husband was none too pleased either!

I could still hear all the songs though, and thought the guys were brilliant. I did think Richie was a little quiet, but I don't think he was too chuffed about the problems with the sound. Thought Dave looked really great in those clothes.

Thought the fireworks were great, but we had to leave whilst they were singing Twist & Shout, but, after reading some other reviews, I'm sorta glad we did with all the traffic chaos. We were home by 11.30 but I feel soooo sad I got ill and couldn't stay in the pit longer.

I can't wait until next time.

Oh, whilst I was otherwise engaged, did Jon do his walk through the audience shaking hands? Please don't tell me he did and I missed that too???!!!!
