|16 June 2001 - Milton Keynes, England, UK Concert Review
This was my first ever Bon Jovi concert even though i've loved them for ages. I took my 15 yr old niece and it was the most memorable night of our lives. We arrived an hour before the gates opened and when they did we headed straight for the stage. We couldn't believe how near the front we were. We were sat down through most of Delirious and Matchbox 20 (saving our legs) but I will be listening out for more of their stuff. When the boys came on I could have died. What a spectacular entrance and isn't Bon Jovi a flirt lol. I have never danced, jumped and sung so much in my life. Wish i had that much energy everyday. The setlist was perfect, Jon was wonderful (just love his sense of humour) and the crowd was unbelievable. I agree that Richie wasn't his usual self though. How lucky was the lady in red?? I felt like i was going to pass out with jealousy. There were too many highlights to mention but i would like to thank all of you who have written reviews sooo much for helping me to relive that night (and have you noticed how many reviews MK got compared to the other gigs?? WOW)
I would like to say a very sarcastic thank you to the organisers of this event because due to their lack of organisation in getting people out of the venue(and the stupidity of our bus driver) we got to the coach park to find our bus had gone. We had to walk the 1 1/2 miles to the train station to find that there were no trains to Nottingham. Then we had to pay £95 for a taxi. All of this was a trifle scary especially for a 15 yr old. So MK please get your fingers out for next time PLEASE.
My last thankyou goes to Bon Jovi for the best night ever. Even the journey home could not spoil our memories of you and i'm still on a high. Please come back to the UK soon and enjoy the rest of the tour. xxx
