17 June 2001 - Cardiff, Wales, UK Concert Review 19 June 2001
Farnborough Boys Rocked By Jovi

A review by Richard Bateman / blackburn2000uk@yahoo.com

What a day and what a night. It took us 2 and a half hours to take the journey from farnborough to Cardiff but it was worth it. We got in through the back with matchbox 20. They are one of the best new bands i have ever heard and quality musicians.

After going to the pub for a few beers (and knicking a few) we stumbled into the stadium and were wowed by what we saw.
Over 50,000 people waiting for the greatest show on earth. With the bonus of the women using the mens toilets as well as us it truly was great.

We jumped up and down in a craze as jon, richie, hugh, tico, and david appeared after an amazing video sequence. We were rocked by one wild night shocked by always and suprised by livin on a prayer in the encore. A pity there were no fire works but a great show.

greatfully yours
Richard Bateman (jovi's No.1 Fan)

p.s. thanks to the crazy welshman with the inflatable guitar as without him we would have never heard never say goodbye
