20 August 2000 - London, UK Concert Review 25 August 2000

A review by James

I went to the Wembley shows on both the 19th and the 20th of August and they don't need the bulldozers anymore because Jovi tore the place down themselves. They were absolutely awesome. I was right in the middle of the pitch on the Saturday and after an 8 hour waiton Sunday morning I managed to get in the front pit, 5 metres from the band.
The set was pretty much the same both nights, I think this was it but the order may be slightly wrong:

London Calling (Saturday only)
Livin' on a Prayer
You give love a bad name
Captain Crash
Say it isn't so
One Wild Night
Born to my baby
Its my Life
Runaway (acoustic)
Bed of Roses
I got the girl
Wild in the streets
Just Older
Lay your hands on me
I'll sleep when i'm dead
Bad Medicine

1st encore:
Two story town
Blood on blood
Wanted dead or alive

2nd encore:
Next 100 years (Sat.)/These Days (Sunday)
Keep the Faith

3rd encore (unplanned, Sunday only)
Next 100 years
Thankyou for loving me

The best songs were obviously Livin' ona prayer and Bad Name because the whole place exploded but personally I also think that Born to be my baby, Blood on Blood and the excellent Just Older were brilliant. Its My Life was not quite right musically but still rocked.
