The show started at 9pm sharp, just as announced, right after a 40-minutes of none other but the New Jersey's own Southside Johnny & Asbury Jukes, one of the JBJ’s early hometown influences! Stereo played Aerosmith’s “Love in an elevator” & U2’s “Beautiful day” while the crew uncovered the stage that looked as (I think) Empire State Building. And then-the intro to “One wild night” and on the screen you could see the inside of an elevator with the Bon-boys inside!!! The doors opened and after a quick photo-pose they hit it on!!!!!! So many surprises, so many great oldies, Richie doin’ “Stranger”, Status Quo cover….. THE GREATEST ROCK’N’ROLL SHOW IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!! The guys were great, 100% ready to rock and fit for fun: when “Bad medicine” started, Jon surprised everyone- including Richie- when he backed up and left Richie to sing! It was indescribable!! Then, after first break, Richie performed “Stranger in this town”, noticing that it was a special request and he didn’t play it for 2 years! Richie: “Well, I guess I’ll have to improvise!” And he did; so it turned out better than the real thing! I guess this gives you a pretty good idea of how it was in Padova. The only down side of it all was the crowd: The Italians are too lasy to clap, or dance, or wave for more than 2 sec. And 99% of them don’t understand English!! Plus, they only know the “Crush” stuff and the greatest hits. But that couldn’t spoil our wildest night!!! Ciao from Slovenia&Croatia!
