Joy and Delusion
It was my first Bon Jovi gig and it's hard to explain the mixed emotions I feel about that. The setlist was fantastic, with two gems like Raise your hands and Wild in the streets. The stage really really suggestive and the fireworks (especially on Lay your hands on me) definitely blew me out. Nothing but incredible the band, in particular Richie and Tico. The crowd sang for the entire show: all the words of all the songs: there was a great mood! But...yes, there was some problems:
1) BJ, not only tuned down the instruments of a semitone
(to make it easy to sing), but let the crowd sing the more
difficult.
2) the concert lasted only 1h40 and songs like Keep the faith, I'll be there for you and Saturday night were kept off. We really can't believe the gig was over after only one encore. I think we deserve much more than this for join in in every song!! Maybe it was only an impression but it seemed like Jon was not in his best night and wanted to finish the concert as soon as possible. He even let Richie sing Stranger in this town and part of Medicine (he didn't remember all the words!!) and Wanted: maybe he was too tired!!!
3) Awful organization: since 1.30 pm we were packed just like in a sardins box until 5.00 pm at the one and only gate of the stadium. The sun shone in the sky and the temperature rose up, some people lost their senses, and still the security guys didn't give us all the water we needed.
Well...Bon Jovi still rocks, Jon Bon Jovi rocks a little less.
Let me know what you think about this little review!!!
