A review by lucky strike

Ieri sera sono stato al concerto dei Bon Jovi a Padova, e concordo con la maggior parte delle reviews precedenti nel dire che è stato veramente deludente.

1.Innanzi tutto, per l'organizzazione, che ha incredibilmente impedito alla maggior parte dei fans di accedere al prato, stipando così le tribune dalle quali si vedeva male e si sentiva peggio... Se avessimo riempito il prato, sarebbe stato tutto un altro colpo d'occhio, soprattutto per la band, che forse si sarebbe sentita più gratificata ed avrebbe interagito di più col pubblico, facendo qualche pezzo in più...

2.Personalmente, credo che un'altra scelta sbagliata (che certo non è dipesa dai Bon Jovi), sia stata la sede: per quanto lo stadio di Padova fosse nuovo e abbastanza capiente, si trattava comunque di una città fuori mano per gran parte dei fans italiani. Se il concerto si fosse tenuto a Milano, sicuramente ci sarebbe stata più gente (ed anche un'organizzazione migliore!!!), e probabilmente Jon sarebbe stato anche meno scazzato...

3.La brutta figura di Jon. Sono sei anni che aspettavamo tutti di rivedere la band dal vivo, visto che l'Italia è puntualmente snobbata dai vari tour e mini tour che ogni tanto vengono fatti in giro per l'Europa (salvo il contentino di andare al "Festivalbar" a cantare in playback e andarsene a casa), eppure neanche una parola, un saluto, niente per scusarsi o giustificarsi del fatto che stesse male. Così, ci siamo dovuti accontentare di un mini show senza le canzoni più famose . E' durato più il viaggio in macchina che il concerto! Richie era in gran forma, come Tico e David, ma Jon era proprio giù di tono... Non è un reato essere malati, ma basta dirlo... E magari non farci aspettare altri sei anni per un concerto di merda!!!

4.Per quelli che nelle reviews hanno scritto che gli italiani sono pigri, non hanno voglia di applaudire o saltare, conoscono solo le canzoni di "Crush", o che si aspettavano solo le ballatone romantiche (infatti "Keep the faith", "Someday I'll be Saturday night", "Runaway", "Blaze of glory", "These days", etc., sono ballads strappalacrime...), vorrei dire che avevano le fette di salame sugli occhi, perchè se si fossero guardati intorno, avrebbero visto come il pubblico si scatenava e ballava durante "Bad Medicine", "You give love a bad name", "Wild in the street", "Born to be my baby", etc.

Spero che i Bon Jovi si rendano conto di avere offerto ai propri fan italiani uno spettacolo davvero triste, che non si meritavano.
Abbiamo aspettato sei anni, abbiamo pagato caro il biglietto, molti di noi si sono fatti chilometri e ore di viaggio per esserci, e ci siamo trovati di fronte ad uno show che non è stato per nulla degno della fama dei Bon Jovi. Noi fan meritiamo più rispetto!!!
Mi costa dirlo, ma se non vi piace venire a suonare qui in Italia, piuttosto evitate!!!


Last night I was at the Bon Jovi concert in Padova (the only italian date) and I agree with most of the other reviews: it was really disappointing.

1.First of all because of the gig organization. It's unbelievable that they didn't allow us to get on the grass stadium!!! Most of us had to stay on the stands where you could see badly and hear even worse. If they had let us going on the grass stadium it would have had just a better look above all for the band that would have felt more satisfied and maybe would have played a little more...

2.Personally, I guess it was a really really bad choice the Padova venue that surely didn't depend on Bon Jovi's wish. Even if it's a new and enough capacious building, I think Padova it's a too much out of the way town for the most italian fans. It would have been better if the show was in Milan, so there were have been more people and a better organization (and maybe Jon would have been less pissed off...)...

3.Jon's poor figure. We've been expecting a Bon Jovi live act for six years (the last italian show was on May 25th 1995 in Milan), since Italy is unfailingly snobbed by the various european band-or-solo tours on 1996, 1997, 2000 (except for throwing the exciting playback exhibitions at "Festivalbar" in...)!!! But Jon didn't say a word, something to excuse or explain his tiredness... So we had to content with a mini-show without the most famous songs. Richie was great, just like Tico and David, but Jon was not himself... It's no crime being ill, but it was enough it was told... And maybe not keeping us waiting for a shit concert for six years!!!

4.Dedicated to those who wrote that italian fans are lazy, don't want to clap or dance, sing or cry, just know "Crush stuff", or just were waiting for romantic ballads (even if I would not call ballads songs such as "Keep the faith", "Someday I'll be Saturday night", "Runaway", "Blaze of glory", "These days", etc): probably you fell asleep last night, because if you were awake you would have seen all italian fans dancing, jumping and singing during "It's my life", "One wild night", "Wild in the street", "You give love a bad name", "Born to be my baby", "Bad medicine", etc,...

I hope Bon Jovi realize the show they performed in front their italian fans was a really bad one, probably the worst of their historical career.
We've been waiting for six years, we payed the ticket show so much, it took kilometers and hours by car, train or godknowswhat for most of us to be there, and we just attended a concert that was not worthy of Bon Jovi's worldwide fame.

We didn't deserve it!!!
We are fans just like the other european ones and deserved more respect!!!

It's hard for me to say this, but if BON JOVI DON'T LIKE COMING TO DO LIVE ACTS HERE IN ITALY, JUST AVOID!!!
