29 June 2001 - Vienna, Austria Concert Review 30 June 2001
Bon Jovi rocked Austria again

A review by Bernhard König / b.koenig@aon.at

Now, first the important thing: Jon seemed in best health, only when he was speaking you can hear that he has still problems with his voice.

But that doesn't matter - after a rather bad ("Short People") and a very good ("Gotthard") support act the stage was prepared for Bon Jovi and finally they got on stage around 20:30 for 2h30mins of "big time" rock'n'roll, for a real wild night.

Jon was danicng, running, jumping, smiling, joking, singing all the time. I never seen him more alive on any other show before. David had also more power than I'd ever seen before - yea, and Tico & Rich - as always ... the great ones.

The highlights of the setlist were Raise Your HAnds, Always, Wild in the streets, Tequila/Twist&Shout.

Jon's a great showman, he really knows how to rock a stadium. Everybody clapped his hands, jumped, danced, sang - (including also the sitting people) - it was amazing. Noone left the staidum before all the encores were over (45 mins!) and I didn't found anybody who were not impressed by this big show.

Very importand was that they're using fireworks again during the shows - during KTF nearly on every "faith" they sent fireworks into the sky ... made the crowd really got wild.

Not old - just better! That whats describes this band best.
