yeah, I get it that Becky didn't know it was locked, so we are not on her case for that.

I disagree that moderators should 'knowingly' be able to reply to closed threads and while it may not do any physical harm it is annoying and plain wrong. If a discussion is closed, it should be closed to anyone.

With this particular thread, I have to agree with Neil --- there was absolutely NO reason to lock it. So, goose thought nobody wanted to read about other peoples kids, well there are a lot of threads not everybody is interested in. It was a very stupid reason and it goes down in history with so many threads having been closed for no other reason than personal decisionmaking by one mod who, by the admission of other mods, is not playing by the rules anyway.
