Ah yes...This system we have here now is ok with me. I never had any problems with mods or anyone. So, let“s forget this shit and let it be the way it is. :P

There are also some that seem to get away with murder and therefore there is a double standard between the people who post and with the moderating group.
I think if that is the case, then people should complain to another mod or Peter because nothing will change unless people state what they mean by giving examples and names.

I don't see knowing what you can and can't do in here is so difficult. I mean, most things are quite logical and don't need to be put into writing. It's just civil rules, whatever you want to call them.

I do agree with the mods offering an explanation of why they do this or that though. It's only fair, although sometimes the actual poster can and does know why it happened perfectly well

Exactly, but not everyone seems to understand normal civil rules or thinks that they don't apply here. It wouldn't therefore be a bad idea just to spell it out one last time!

Sure it can, but having one would definitely decrease the level of freedom of speech here. And I'm very sure that people who have a problem with JT having no such code would then argue over different interpretation of that code. Countries have laws, but then they also have courts and lawyers. If JT had a code of conduct, the moderators would be the ones who have the final word on which interpretation is the right one => the situation would be exactly the same.

Moderators are the only ones who can edit or delete some elses posts = they are members with special powers. Which I think is quite obvious and I don't think it has to be written down somewhere.

What are Moderators?
Moderators are individuals (or groups of individuals) whose job it is to look after the running of the forums from day to day. They have the power to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move, delete and split topics in the forum they moderate. Generally moderators are there to prevent people going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material.

Would you not agree with me though Peter that Moderation and censorship are two different things?

But how do u enforce censorship without the moderators? They are very much related.

Backstage with JBJ has very strict rules of censorship that are withheld rigidly by the moderators. It is a very different posting experience to here.

The power to edit/delete posts also include the power to censor. And on JT, moderators are expected to sometimes edit or delete posts. You can call it censorship of you want, but I don't. Would you be happier if I called moderators "super users"?

If other people feel that censoring and moderation are one in the same then fine, I respect that, I don't agree but i'm entitled to my opinion aren't I?

And by the way Carli, I don't remember subscribing to the FAG forum anyway! :P
