Different names in different companies. Still, I've met no one who actually works IN the business that would say IE is better. Every graphic artist, programmer, designer and producer say it's a lot easier to make pages that work in all browser but IE than it is to make pages that work in IE and others. I don't see why you would want to say otherwise, as there isn't a single thing IE does better than the other browsers. JScript is just JavaScript rewritten to avoid copyrights and ActiveX is one of the worst thing you can do to your computer safety. |
I'm not saying IE is better, I'm saying IE is the reality right now. I have yet to see a site for general audience with less than 85% IE share. So, when trying to produce a site with minimal costs, what do you do? Produce it so that it works perfectly in IE - for 85% of people and so-so for the remaining 15% or the other way round? Sure, there are plently of ways to make it render the same way in all browsers, but they also mean larger production costs.
