How much is DryCounty.com worth?

I've been away from JT for a while and look what I find.

Quite an interesting topic actually.

drycounty.com is an interesing asset. The non-community part of the site is ancient and I have like 100 ideas how to redo it, but no time and also real motivation to bring them to life, as there are far more profitable and interesting projects out there (including other peterweb.com sites). The community (JT) part is very much alive but brings virtually no revenues to the table. But I'm sure if someone from a country where online advertising is well established (USA, UK) would put significant effort into redoing the site and come up with a marketing plan, the site could become much more user friendly (less ads in general and more better paid targeted ads) and also profitable.

But for now, everything is more or less on hold, I'm basically waiting for some breakthrough to happen, i.e. PayPal enabling my country to receive and not just send funds.

There's a BJ community in Orkut.com with 36190 users.

DC is the most famous BJ non official online community, even the band knows about us , our reputation is world renowned.... the search engines always show us up first. I think we will get busier now BSWJBJ has gone members only...

Haha well we know that the official camp thinks we're never happy with anything. I'd rather be thought of, of the board that is honest but we probably come across as constant complainers for them to think that.

recently overall we (jt) were happy about the release of an album and BJ camp said something like : You mean they are actually happy at Dry County !!!!!!!

See they knew we were happy !!!!!!!! Credit given when credit is due...

haha That's the quote I was thinking about, when Obie was shocked there are happy people here. It's nice to know he knew we were happy, it's just dis-heartening to think that's how we come across here.

I think if they want to know the truth then at least this place exists, its better than having we love everything they do attitude , how would they learn , constructive criticism is always useful.
