Why generally? Isn't it enough if someone finds it offensive? You're the only one talking about foul language, that doesn't qualify as "generally offensive", does it?

My signature is a personal opinion , like most peoples opinions on this board in messages.
Swear words are not an opinion they are just foul meaningless words put there to offend or for an ego issue.

The second paragraph is purely your opinions. These "foul" and "meaningless" words are only "foul" and "meaningness" because of religion. Theses words have perfectly sensible meanings and have been around for ages. The only reason they're considered "foul" is because of the church.

Swear words are not allowed in the public forum and I feel should not be permitted on this board .

I feel that any and all religious propaganda should also be prohibited, but that's not going to happen, because it's a free speech board. So, as long as you get to say "Jesus rocks", I get to say "****".

I feel I have a right to request that you refrain from using them here. It is of course your personal choice to ignore my request. Rather than attempting to justify swearing in a discussion against my personal signature.

So you have a right to ask for something, but others don't? Just because _you_ find something offensive, doesn't mean it is. And just because _you_ find something non-offensive doesn't mean it it.
If I were to have a signature that said "Jesus is a loser and Allah is the only God", would you be offended? How about "**** Allah, Jesus kicks ass!"?
There's more than one side to every story, but I think force feeding religion is much worse than swearing. After all, swearing hasn't killed anyone yet, but thousands have died for religions, including yours.

Hi Ice,
This country and its laws are based on a religion , yes this maybe why people from the church find swearing unacceptable. I am not aware of why exactly swearing is not permitted publicly but there are also a lot of none christians who dislike swearing . For example if you stand in a street and swear at a policeman you will be arrested as it is an offence, if I stand in the street and say Jesus rocks to a policeman whatever his religion I will not be arrested.
If someone wants to write their religious beleifs on this board regqarding allah or any other religion I would not request removal , they are entitled to their opinion. Swearing is not an opinion, it is plainly an offensive word.
