And I did not cut your right. I don't see bad language as bad as you do but I even agreed with you several times now that using foul language is not going by etiquette.

Swear words are not an opinion they are just foul meaningless words put there to offend or for an ego issue.
That's still opinion. "****" is maybe a bad word, but it has a meaning.

I therefore cannot see how you can compare the two in the same cateogory as offensive.
Because, generally, I do not use foul language (remember, I "quoted") and I was surprised that you pointed at me when there are quite a few members who do it regularly. I found it odd, just like you might find it odd that I mentioned your signature. <<< And that is why I compared the two things, not because they are equally offensive, they are not!

Swear words are not allowed in the public forum and I feel should not be permitted on this board . Obviously this is my personal opinion, but as it is the opinion of most of the public forum of this country to not have swear words forced upon them when reading, I feel I have a right to request that you refrain from using them here. It is of course your personal choice to ignore my request. Rather than attempting to justify swearing in a discussion against my personal signature.
Erm, what country are you talking about?

Hi CC,

I live in England and swearing in not permitted in the newspapers or on tv until very late at night and even then certain words are omitted.

The f word does have a meaning, however it is hardly ever used in its actual context, there it is used to offend not to explain a sentence.

I understand that you dont swear normally , no reason to start now You will find that I have asked most people on this board to not swear at some time or the other. Some now asterisk their swear words out, therefore I dont have to read them and know to ignore it, however your type of swearing even in the message here is blatant and it obvious to the word you are using which is why I asked you not to swear.

Dawn
9pm is only late if you have church the next morning. Swearing has also appeared on Eastenders, and The Bill - both before 9pm. And just because newspapers choose not to swear doesn't mean they are not allowed to swear.
