It gets on my nerves as well!

There's several things I do.

As Kev said they ads appear every 15 minutes so if you've just seen one you can click on the smilies freely.

If you're afraid you're going to get one because it's nearly 15 minutes since the last one you can select what you've written before clicking and select copy. No need to paste it anywhere really, unless you lose your text and you have to paste it back. You can also see what the java (or whatever :P) for teh smilies is as Kev said.

What I don't understand is why sometimes the text will go and other times it will be there when you click on the back button

Thats another solution which I use sometimes. Its actually a usefull point that, thanks for reminding me about it :P This one is especially usefull if you have made a long post, and you don't want to lose it all.

I never once lost any text using the back button.

I've ONLY once gotten it back using the "back" button.

That's the real problem in fact, because for the adverts we know JT needs it so no problem, but we need to know what we can do or not maybe there is something to fix ?

Same here i never click on smiles anymore jsut use there codes and lot of time i got my PM when i click back button.

Hey Sara, wouldn't it be possible to hide the actual URL in your signature under the word "here" for example?
It is totally messing up the layout.
